Yah, and you know I know all this–used to have a few routines myself, back in the day. But age, stress, and the ADD thing combine to wreak havoc–all excuses, I know, but if I’m not careful, even my daily personal routines, ones that are pretty set in stone M-F, can disappear. It’s part of why W has such issues in school , etc., because I never established routines and so he doesn’t have any either.

Those exploding flat surfaces are called “hotspots.” Hee.

Yup: routines. back when I was organized, I had all sorts of routines, and to-do lists, and schedules. And it was FUN. And then my house exploded (thank you, SCA), and I’ve been clawing my way back for like three months. Gotta get the routines established again.

And like some electro-shock therapy for myself every time I drop some random piece of junk on the closest available flat surface. >_<

I have heard of a variation of this being referred to as “birthday box”, and it also contained sprinkles, birthday candles, cupcake liners, festoons. But a period party box sounds way more fun!

Wanted to add this one:

It’s strange he doesn’t mention that in this, Texas and the UK are the same. You order a coke in Texas and they ask, “What kind?” “Um…a diet Dr Pepper, please?” Also, pop is used almost exclusively up north in the US.
